‘A huge thank you on behalf of our customers!’ – Bamford doors donate Christmas gifts for children living in our supported housing scheme

Children currently living at our Frank Walsh House scheme in Coventry will be given some special gifts this Christmas.
Bamford Doors has donated thousands of pounds worth of presents to our scheme in Coventry which provides emergency supported housing for families living across the city.
Bamford Doors are one of our contractors who supply secure doors for our homes.
Our colleagues who work at Frank Walsh House are hosting a Santa’s grotto event on 23 December and the presents will be given out to the children then.
The donated toys include a wide range of gifts from cuddly toys to magic tricks and car sets.
Our Director of Housing Care and Support Peter Gill said: “This is such an amazing gift from Bamford Doors and we are truly grateful for their generous donation.
“The amount of toys donated means every child living at Frank Walsh House will receive a gift this Christmas and we’re looking forward to handing them over at our Santa’s grotto event on 23 December. It can be easy for families in temporary housing to feel overlooked, but this donation shows that people are thinking of them.
Bamford Doors donated the toys because a few years ago Alexis, Bamford’s Managing Director decided that at Christmas she really didn’t need any more bottles of wine from suppliers.
As it’s a time for giving, she decided that she would request toys instead to donate to families in need.
Something which she thought would only be small grew into a massive initiative! Suppliers, staff, family and friends are only too happy to contribute and take part in The Annual Bamford Toy Appeal which gets bigger and better every year.
Alexis Smith, Managing Director of Bamford Doors said: “We are delighted to be able to help so many families at this time of year and hope our donation will bring some joy and Christmas cheer to those less fortunate than ourselves.”
