‘I can’t wait to spend Christmas day with my grandkids’ – our customer looks forward to her first Christmas in her Citizen home
One of our customers is looking forward to spreading the Christmas cheer with her grandkids this year after finding herself homeless.
Josephine Campbell, from Coventry, is spending her first Christmas in her Citizen home this year and says she cannot wait to have her family come to stay with her on Christmas day.
Josephine said she is so happy to have her own home after she has been staying with different family members for the last four years while she was on the waiting list for a home.
She said: “I am really looking forward to having a home at Christmas time, this is my forever home.
“For me Christmas is about the grandkids, they are now all old enough to know what Christmas is about and I will love spending it with them.
“Christmas is about family – my brother is coming round too on Christmas Day and then we will visit my sister on Boxing Day.
“I am very happy to have my own home, I had to wait a long time for it.”
Josephine added that she has her Christmas tree up and the decorations in the window, ready for the big day.
Director of Housing Care and Support Peter Gill said: “It’s lovely to hear that Josephine is looking forward to Christmas and we hope she enjoys the celebrations with her family.
“At Citizen we want to provide more than a home, we want to provide a foundation for life, and we are really pleased to hear Josephine sees this as her forever home.
“We wish Josephine, her family and all our customers who are celebrating a Merry Christmas.”
