Redevelopment plans for Paradise House in Coventry
We've announced plans to redevelop the Paradise House site in the Foleshill area of Coventry.
Following detailed assessments of the building and feedback from customers, we've made the decision to demolish Paradise House and rehouse everyone living there.
Many customers told us their homes are difficult to keep warm, costly to run, and in need of increasing levels of repair.
After considering all options, we have concluded that even significant investment would not bring the block up to the standard of sustainable, energy-efficient homes we want for our customers.
Bridget Guilfoyle, our Director of Asset Management, said: “Paradise House has been home to many people for a long time, and we understand how much it means to our customers.
The rehousing of Paradise House residents will begin in December 2025 and is expected to take around 18 months to two years to complete.
All customers have received a letter outlining the process and timescales.
We intend to redevelop the site following the demolition, preferably with new family homes. However, before any plans are developed, we will speak directly with local residents, Coventry City Council, and the wider community, so they can help shape what the future of the site should look like.
