Amber heat health alert issued

The government has issued an Amber Heat Health Alert for the West Midlands.

The alert is in place from 8 July 2026 at 9.00am until 12 July 2026 at 9.00pm.

 

During this period, hot weather may affect health and wellbeing, particularly for older people, young children, and those with existing health conditions.
