Keep warm

A few simple changes can help you stay comfortable at home during colder weather.

Check your heating

  • Make sure your heating and radiators are working properly. If something seems wrong, report it early.

Use curtains wisely

  • Open them during the day to let warm sunlight in.
  • Close them at night to keep the heat inside.

Stay connected

Spending time with others can boost your wellbeing, especially during winter. Warm Hubs are welcoming community spaces where you can enjoy social activities, meet new people and spend time somewhere warm.

Damp, mould and condensation

Cold weather can make condensation more noticeable. These simple steps can help reduce moisture in your home. Tell us if you have a damp or mould problem.

Reduce moisture

  • Use gentle heating or a dehumidifier to help stop damp.
  • Wipe away condensation.

Ventilate your home

  • Open windows for short periods of time.
  • Use extractor fans to remove moisture.

Awaab’s Law

  • We're now managing all cases of damp, mould and condensation and emergency repairs in line with Awaab’s Law.
