Are you passionate about keeping communities clean, safe, and welcoming? We are looking for a reliable, proactive and hardworking Cleaning Technician to join our Cleaning Team for a 7 week fixed term period via agency.

Position: Agency Temp Cleaning Technician

Salary: £24,897 (paid an hourly rate via an agency)

Location: Hereford – driving licence required

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Clean internal and external communal areas in blocks of flats to a high standard, including:
  • Entrances, stairs, corridors, carpets, floors, walls, windows, lifts
  • Bin rooms, rubbish chute hoppers, and tenant areas
• Use a variety of cleaning methods such as washing, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, polishing, and dusting.
• Remove litter from around blocks and communal areas.
• Remove sacks and refuse from communal parts, referring bulk waste to the correct team.
• Flush and disinfect drains and gullies.
• Remove small‑scale graffiti using hand wipes.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazards following procedure.
• Support overall cleanliness and safety across the estate.

Safety & Compliance

• Conduct and record daily and weekly checks including:
  • Fire alarm tests
  • Emergency lighting checks
• Carry out block inspections, responding promptly to hazards, spillages, or urgent cleaning needs.
• Check bin chutes and access points for blockages or cleanliness issues and take action in line with procedures.
• Report repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate Supervisor.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous cleaning experience (ideally in communal or public spaces)
• Basic Health & Safety knowledge relevant to cleaning environments and associated equipment.
• Comfortable working in varied and sometimes challenging environments
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work
• Willingness to complete basic paperwork and compliance checks (training provided)
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check
