Retirement Living Team With Accreditation

We’re pleased to share that our Retirement Living service has been awarded the EROSH Independent Living Standards accreditation, following a detailed two-day assessment across several of our schemes.

The assessment included visits to schemes, meetings with colleagues and customers, and a full review of our documentation, policies and day-to-day practice.

It means that we fully meet the national standards for independent living services.

EROSH is the national consortium for older people’s housing and support. Its Independent Living Standards are a recognised benchmark for quality in retirement and independent living services.

The standards focus on:

  • customer wellbeing and independence
  • safety and safeguarding
  • colleague skills and training
  • governance and service quality
  • customer experience and choice

Achieving accreditation confirms that our Retirement Living service:

  • meets nationally recognised standards for quality and safety
  • provides customer-focused, independent living support
  • has strong governance and well-managed operations
  • is committed to continuous improvement

Our Head of Retirement Living, Louise Oakley, said: “Achieving EROSH accreditation is a real testament to the dedication of our teams and the strong relationships we have with our customers.

“The assessor highlighted positive feedback from customers, strong staff engagement, and our clear commitment to supporting independent living across all our schemes.

“This achievement also strengthens our wider Care and Supported Housing Strategy and gives us a solid framework to continue improving. We’ll now take forward the assessor’s recommendations to build on this success and further enhance the service we provide for customers.”
