Position:           Assistant Accountant – Asset Management

Salary:               £36,149

Location:          4040 Lakeside

Work Pattern:   37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist and support the Accountant in providing accurate and timely financial information to Budget Holders with a particular focus on retrofit energy efficiency measures and capitalisation of fixed assets.
  • To develop good working relationships through collaboration with budget holders to provide financial reports, advice and assistance and ensure effective budget control is being carried out.
  • To assist and support the Accountant with management accounts, budget setting, statutory accounts and quarterly regulatory returns.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Part Qualified AAT or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within an accounting environment providing accurate, reliable, and timely financial information to Budget Holders
  • Ability to present and explain the findings of data analysis to the Accountant and/or to non-finance staff in a clear and understandable manner in meetings.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships and collaborate with internal customers.
