Need a little help buying gifts for children this Christmas?
If you’re feeling worried about the cost of giving children presents this year, the Giving Tree Project could help.
The project, run by Coventry City Mission, provides gifts for children aged 17 and under living across the city if you receive housing and child benefit (or those elements of Universal Credit).
If you would like support from the project, you can:
- Visit their website www.covcitymission.org.uk and complete the form by 28 November
- Register in person at St John the Divine Church, Robin Hood Road, Willenhall, CV3 3AY. Contact them on 02476 303266 or email stjohnthedivine@hotmail.co.uk before the end of November.
Applications after 28 November will go on a reserve list, so you might not receive gifts even if you qualify.
Our Money Advice Team Leader Steve Francis said: “Christmas can be a tough time financially, and this is a great way to give families extra support. Thank you to Coventry City Mission for making this possible. If you qualify and need help, please get in touch.
“We also have our own Advice Team at Citizen. If you need support with energy costs, benefits or debt, we’re here to help — just contact us.”
