Position: Assistant Payroll and Pensions Manager

Salary:  £45,074 + Excellent Benefits

Location: Birmingham (hybrid working)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accurate and timely monthly payroll processing.
  • Support pension administration and ensure compliance with UK legislation.
  • Coach and develop your team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Handle complex payroll queries and collaborate with Finance on reconciliations.
  • Support the Payroll and Reward Manager with the running of our generous reward package

Qualifications and experience:

  • Ideally CIPP qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll using integrated HR & Payroll systems.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and pension schemes.
  • Experience with Local Government Pension Scheme administration
  • Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous line management experience with a passion for developing people.
