As a Health & Safety Advisor, you'll play an important role in helping Citizen maintain a safe and healthy environment for our colleagues, customers, contractors and visitors. Working closely with the Senior Health & Safety Advisors and Head of Health & Safety, you'll provide expert advice, deliver training, carry out audits and inspections, support accident investigations, and promote a positive health and safety culture across the organisation.

Position: Health & Safety Advisor
Salary: £46877 per year
Location: Mobile Worker- Birmingham/Coventry/Hereford/Worcester
Hours: 37 hours, Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical health and safety advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across the business.
- Carry out health and safety audits, inspections and risk assessment reviews, supporting teams to implement safe working practices.
- Assist with accident and incident investigations, reporting, trend analysis and learning outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
- Support the development and delivery of health and safety training, campaigns and awareness initiatives.
- Help develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures and emergency response arrangements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
Qualifications and experience:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety, or currently working towards achieving this qualification.
- TechIOSH membership (or equivalent professional standard).
- Experience of conducting health and safety inspections, audits and risk assessments, with the ability to analyse findings and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to advise, influence and build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Citizen's operating area.
- Experience within the housing, construction, repairs or maintenance sector. (Desirable)
- Experience of accident and incident investigation, contractor monitoring and translating health and safety legislation into practical guidance. (Desirable)
